Are You Prepared For Your Wedding?

You have settled on a date for the big day, and now you have to plan everything. You are probably wondering where on earth you should start at this stage – and the best answer is with a notepad and pen.
It is virtually impossible to plan a wedding unless you have some kind of list to constantly refer to. So jot down everything you can think of for starters – cars, wedding dress, clothing, wedding favours, a photographer and so on. Then have a friend or family member look at the list to make sure you haven’t missed off anything obvious.
One of the best ways to plan your wedding is to enlist the help of a select few people you know you can rely on. Make sure everyone knows what they should be organising though – this method can go wrong if you choose people who have their own ideas for how your wedding should progress.
The location is one of the most important things of all. Will you get married in a church or a registry office for example? Whereabouts would you like the ceremony to take place? Do you want it to be local or is there somewhere else that is special to you both that you would like to go to?
Of course even though you are thinking about the wedding there is the honeymoon to consider as well. This is important because people often jet off on holiday the day after the wedding, so you will need to think about dates. You also don’t want to leave the booking until the last minute in case you cannot get the honeymoon you want.
In terms of the wedding itself, think in numbers very early on if you can. A lot of other things will depend on having a good idea of how many people will be attending. For example, how many wedding favours will you need to buy? Which venue will be big enough to accommodate the whole wedding party? How many people will you need to cater for in terms of food and drink?
As you can see, once you have agreed on the figures you can move on and start planning the rest of your wedding. Be sure to ask around for advice on the best people and companies to use too. Someone you know may be able to recommend a good florist or photographer for example.
So whether you like the idea of weddings near Windsor or somewhere else entirely, you can be assured that early planning is the best option at all times. Planning a wedding is stressful enough without adding a closer deadline into the mix as well. The sooner you get started, the sooner you can sit back and relax, knowing that everything is arranged and ready for you to enjoy your big day.

Reasons for Having Your Personalized Free Wedding Site
Wedding is the most special moment in any individual’s life, especially if you are planning and executing your own wedding. However, planning and execution of your own wedding can be quite hectic, if you do not have your own personalized free wedding site. Planning a wedding involves letting your guests know about the various details such as the bride and groom, venue and directions to get there, gift registry and many other such information, which can be quite tiring if you decide to answer all your guests personally. Setting up a personalized wedding site helps in easy dissemination of information, thereby giving you more time to do other things for your wedding.
With a personalized free wedding site, it is possible to have an interactive guest book, where your guests can leave personal messages and wishes for the couple. This is available in real time, so that you can actually see who visited your site and their message. Can you imagine something more special than looking at those messages later?
Details of venue and the directions for getting there are very integral to any wedding and can be easily accomplished using such personalized wedding sites. It is pertinent to note that in any wedding, we are so hard pressed for time that we cannot answer all the queries personally, thereby causing confusion in the minds of the guests. Such sites allow no room for confusion.
Similarly, having a personalized free wedding site can actually help you get RSVPs for your wedding without wasting much time or energy. Guests can immediately RSVP you and you will be notified by the site registry on the guests who have responded to your invitation. Moreover, such sites also allow you to tell your guests about the other invitees to your wedding. Most people you will realize are curious as to the other invitees and while it is not possible to remember each person and list them in a telephone call, this is a much easier and efficient way to ensure invitees know about each other.
Gifts are very important to any wedding so also gift registries. Through such personalized wedding sites, you can actually link to your gift registry, thereby making it easy for your guests to choose the perfect gift for you.
Lastly, a personalized free wedding site is the perfect place to share your love story with your friends and family. You can put up photographs of yourselves and also talk about how you met as well as details regarding the proposal. Such sites are meant for sharing information with both people who will attend as well as those who cannot. Through such sites you can make sure all your loved ones are included in your special moment.

Wedding Websites are the “Cats Meow” of Wedding Planning
Tis the (Summer) season to get married!
Often times couples who are engaged to be married find themselves in a difficult position, asking the same age old question, “Will we be able to get everything done before the wedding date?!?” The engaged couple will need to tackle a variety of tasks that they simply wish could be pushed aside. Does Grandma Myrtle want to sit next to Cousin Vinnie? Will the invitations arrive on time?… just a few of the many questions to be answered. They will quickly learn that asking questions only seems to lead to more questions. Couples can get fearful when they sit down and make commitments under time constraints. Not to worry, put the “fun” back into the wedding planning stages by creating your very own wedding website.
For some, the creation of a wedding website seems burdensome. Do not believe this statement, there are a variety of free wedding websites that provide the templates and hosting you will need to create a killer website. All you have to worry about is adding content, giving your wedding guests and yourself a great online wedding resource. It’s important to remember when you are creating your own personalized wedding website to add a plethora of information including,
Date/Time/Place:
Instead of sending out a bunch of invitations and reminders, just provide your wedding guests with a link to your site. Remember to include the date, time and place of your wedding/reception. If you forget this information chaos is very likely to ensue.
Calender of Events:
If your wedding includes a ceremony/reception and/or any other other activities then add these events to your site. Provide the place, time and date for these activities as well, so your guests are fully aware of what there is to do before, on or after your wedding day. This is definitely a great suggestion for anyone who plans on having a destination wedding.
Accommodations:
If you know wedding guests will be traveling a fair distance to your wedding, you may want to provide guests with hotel information within the area. This will give your guests the opportunity to purchase a hotel room, if they want to enjoy the wedding without having to leave early and/or factor in travel time/distance.
Gift Registries:
What better way to display your gift registry than with links from your site to online registries you have created. This is much easier than having to include this information in your invitation. All you have to do is include a link from your wedding site to the registry page you created on a third party site.
Tools/Widgets:
Tools and widgets are an amazing way to help you better plan for your wedding. Including wedding checklists, seating charts and budget planners within your wedding website is a nice way to provide you will a central location to manage everything.

Wedding Invitations – Asking For Money Instead Of Gifts
I ran into this problem recently and thought I would bring some clarification to the matter. Is it okay to request money on your invitations? ABSOLUTELY NOT! There are printers who will tell you that it is okay to put “Wishing Well Wedding” or “Wishing Well Reception” on your invitations. There are even “wedding” website that have special wording or “scripts” for couples to use.
Although someone has come up with some creative way to ask for gifts, money, or charitable donations, you NEVER mention gifts of any kind on your invitations or announcements, or even send with the invitation; to do so imply that a guest is required to give you a present. Some guests will actually be appalled by this. A wedding invitation should simply convey that you would like someone to be there and partake this very special occasion.
The next question – How do you let your guests know? Most guests will ask your immediate family, close friends or a member of the Bridal Party for your registry information. The response should be based on each individuals comfort level. They could simply state, “They have all the essential household items, so they do not have a gift registry” or if they are comfortable with the individual asking, they could go into more detail.
As I mentioned before, some feel that it’s fine to include this information on your invitations, stating that times have changed. Keep in mind that people come up with reasons to do and say things and others tend to follow suit, but that does not mean that it is the right thing to do. In the end the choice is yours. Remember that your wedding from the invitations to the reception should be a reflection of you.

Ecommerce features such as these are becoming more popular because shoppers enjoy the convenience it offers. Because online shoppers are getting used to these features, it’s becoming more and more important for smaller ecommerce businesses stay competitive by doing the same.
A store gift registry is a service that allows customers to pick out products from your store in order for their friends and family to buy them to celebrate special occasions. Gift registries used to be associated exclusively with weddings, bridal and baby showers. Recently however, people are starting to use them for all types of special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and graduation. Your products don’t necessarily have to tie in with weddings or babies in order for you to provide an online store gift registry. Being able to use a gift registry makes life easier not only for the gift giver, but also the person receiving the gift. It takes the hassle out of the gift buying experience, the gift giver has an easy time picking out the perfect gift knowing that the person receiving the gift will like it.
A store wishlist is a service offered to customers to select products from your store that they would like to have, but have no plans of purchasing immediately. Wishlists are a good feature to have for your e-commerce store, because people who visit your site generally will not buy something immediately. They have a choice of marking down products they like and come back to it at a later time. As the business owner, you should make use of the useful information gathered from your customer’s online store wishlist to promote products to them that they like but have not purchased yet, promote similar items that they might enjoy or inform them of discounts for products already on their list. All these tactics can be easily implemented as long as you offer this feature on your e-commerce site. You are able to boost your sales revenue by simply reminding shoppers to review your products again.
There are several benefits associated with having gift registries and/or wishlists. First, it is essentially a free form of advertising. Think about it, if a fan of your online store creates a store gift registry or wishlist and sends it to all of his or her acquaintances who do not know about your business, they are introduced to a selection of your products. This is an effective tool for acquiring new traffic, these new visitors can potentially turn into new customers. It’s not enough that gift registries and wishlists help drive more sales, they also do a great job of building customer loyalty. You will be able to introduce things that they normally would not have noticed. These are effective tools for retaining a customer’s interest in your products and referring their friends. Ultimately you can use the information obtained from wishlists and gift registries to learn more information about your customers, their likes and dislikes. Figure out which products are the most popular and which ones you can promote more. Use these statistics to improve your online store and offer even more value to your customers.
Having an online store wishlist and online store gift registry is only the beginning. To really turn it into a profitable tool, you have to think of creative ways to get more visitors to use it. By helping your customers fully utilize these handy options, you help yourself by beating out your competitors. As an example, depending on what kind of products you sell, your store gift registry will only be able to appeal to a certain group of people. Research where they will typically go online to get what they are looking for. Participate in forums, create relationships with bloggers and join social media groups that you think this kind of shopper might belong to. An effective way to market your online store wishlist option is to teach your visitors all of the cool things they can do with it, such as adding it to their Facebook, adding it to events on sites like Evite or get them to post it on Websites like Elfster during the holidays.

Choosing A Honeymoon Destination
So you’ve picked the dress of your dreams, placed the order for the exquisite cake and the stunning flowers and now can’t put your finger on what to choose as your honeymoon destination? Well, fret no more; read these tips and hopefully you’ll be booking tickets to the honeymoon destination of your dreams pretty soon. Don’t let the plethora of information on honeymoon destinations overwhelm you. Approach this the other way around. Instead of looking at bridal magazines and websites about the various honeymoon destinations, talk to your spouse-to-be about where you would like to go and take it from there.
What do the two of you do when you have time together? Water sports? Hiking? Antiquing? Beaches? Casinos? Look back and see where you were the last time you had a great vacation together? Was it a Vegas-like nightlife setting or something more tranquil such as Tahiti?
Once you’ve decided whether you want to hit the beach or the discotheque, then figure out how much of your wedding budget are you going to devote to the honeymoon. Set a dollar amount and skip the bridal registry in favor of a honeymoon registry if you would rather have friends and family contribute to your honeymoon destination instead of more sandwich makers and microwave ovens.
If you want to save some money, try a local place; preferably a drivable distance from where you live. However, if you can splurge, then experience some place new. If you do have the budget to go international, enquire about visas and passport information before hand so that you are not disappointed later on.
If crossing borders is part of your plan, Canada and Mexico are great options but if a longer flight is what you fancy, Europe must top your list. Whether its breathtaking Austria, romantic France or some other European nation, such a honeymoon destination will surely be different from the usual and something you will cherish for a long time.
Figure out whether you want to leave for the honeymoon immediately following the reception or wait a few days? Either way, have your dates firm and book accordingly. The earlier you do so, the better changes you have of scoring a great deal. If you are going for the sun and sand, try some less popular beaches to save some money. The water will be the same; just some of the amenities will be different and if you’re not into parasailing or water sports and just want time alone, a less crowded, less touristy place would be the better choice anyways.

Wedding Etiquette Announcement
During the entire course of the wedding, there are several instances that require wedding etiquette wording. What is wedding etiquette wording? It is a collection for phrases or paragraphs meant for the couple’s union. The wedding etiquette wording follows certain rules to make it as effective and elegant as possible. Traditionally, the bride handles all the wedding details, including the wedding etiquette wording for the groom. But thankfully, now there are some things that can be handed over to other people like the wedding planner, a member of the family or even the clergy.
The announcement:
The engagement can be announced to both families in an intimate gathering. However, the law requires that the union be posted in an ad as public announcement of their nuptial. The wedding etiquette wording for this can be kept to a minimum.
The details include, the name of the couple and their parents, the date and location of the wedding and the reception information. More elegant announcements can run a full-page story about the couple’s history but members of the elite society mostly do this wedding etiquette wording.
The invitation:
After establishing your guest list, it is time to send out the invitations. The wedding etiquette wording is very important and must be written while considering the marital status of the couple’s parents and the couple themselves.
As more and more people get divorced, the wedding etiquette wording has evolved to accommodate the changes. If all the parents are divorced, the invitation should include all parents’ names, with the bride’s parents first. The mothers should be written down before names of their ex-husbands.
It is important to note that wedding etiquette wording dictates that the invitation contains the following: name of the couple, their parents, the date and location of the wedding, wedding attire requirements, the map to the wedding and reception area, the bridal registry information and other details such as a wedding website of the couple.
As a matter of wedding etiquette wording, all the wedding invitations must come from the bride’s side, even for the friends of the groom. They should be sent out six weeks before the wedding day. Guests from out of town should be considered and have their invitations a lot earlier than the rest so they can prepare for the event.
The wedding vows:
Traditionally, wedding vows are spoken to each other as dictated by the clergy. However some couples prefer to make theirs special by making personalize d vows. The couple themselves should write the wedding etiquette wording for vows. Quoting a poem or a song is acceptable as long as it is the person’s sincere words.
The toast:
Prior to the wedding reception, the family should be aware of the program. At this stage, the host should have informed the concerned parties of the wedding etiquette wording speeches they will make. It helps to write down what one has to say to avoid stammering. The parents or a very close family member from each side of the family does the wedding etiquette wording for the speech.
Another speech requiring a wedding etiquette wording is the best man and maid of honor. Usually expressing their long friendship and wishes for their friends, the wedding etiquette wording for these speeches is short but meaningful.
The thanksgiving:
Another speech that needs wedding etiquette wording is the one given by the couple at the end of the program. The couple makes an expression of gratitude to the bride and groom’s families, guests and everyone behind the wedding event. Although the wedding etiquette wording may be spontaneous than the previous speeches, it is nonetheless sincere and appropriate.
The Thank you card:
A week after the wedding it is customary to send out thank you cards to the guests, those who gave a gift and the people who organized the wedding event (including the wedding planner, the musicians, the floral arranger, etc). A simple wedding etiquette wording would be a thank you note or a poem signed by the newlyweds.
This type of wedding etiquette wording job is often left to the bride’s family including those guests from the groom’s side. This is written on a plain white card. Whether the couple uses a standard thank you card or print a personalized one, the wedding etiquette wording should always be sincere, nice and unforgettable.
